Citation to Mr. Ray Anthony Gavin
A good name is harder to be chosen than riches (The Holy Bible)
Ray Anthony Gavin born November 11th 1969. In the eyes of his parents this was one of the best days on earth because a STAR had just been born.
Ray went to manning's School at ten years of age, and would always refer to Manning's as "The Best School in the West". He developed a love for sports, more so athletics. He competed for Manning's and for Westmoreland as well. There are many medals adorning his home to testify to his accomplishments in the sport. He was so renound that the legendary athlete and coach Mr. Herb McKinley came for him and took him to Calabar High in Kingston.
Ray went on to become a legend in the world, and in no time the name Ray Mention would reverberate on the radio waves. Unfortunately, suddenly, when nobody was expecting it Ray was taken from among us. GONE TOO SOON is the cry, and the question is why? Only God knows, do not grieve we advice, enjoy and remember the good times.
On this occasion the Western Chapter of the Manning's Past Student Association salutes Mr. Ray Anthony Gavin (Ray Mention) for his loyalty, commitment, dedication, and exemplary conduct in the service of Manning's School and the wider community. We place on record indebtness and gratitude for the quality of selfless service he has rendered in the service of his fellow citizens.
